Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of www.rowtgop.org and any membership, event ticket, or contribution you purchase through it. The Republicans of Wheeling Township ("ROWT," "we," "our") is a political committee organized in Cook County, Illinois. By using this site or making a payment through it, you agree to these terms.

1. Who We Are

2. Use of This Site

You may use this site for lawful purposes only. Do not submit false information through our forms, attempt to disrupt the site or its systems, or use any content here to harass another person. We may remove content or decline service where these terms are not met.

Site content, including text, images, and the ROWT name and marks, belongs to ROWT unless credited otherwise. You may share and quote it for non-commercial civic purposes with attribution.

3. Membership

Membership is offered at three levels, billed monthly or annually:

• General — $10 per month, or $120 per year.
• Premium — $20 per month, or $240 per year.
• Supporting — $45 per month, or $500 per year.

Monthly and annual memberships renew automatically on the same date each period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time by emailing info@rowtgop.org. Cancellation stops future billing; it does not retroactively refund a period already served. Membership benefits run through the end of the period you have paid for.

Membership in ROWT is a voluntary political association. It confers the benefits described on our membership page and nothing more. It is not a share, security, or ownership interest of any kind.

4. Event Tickets and Registrations

Ticket prices, dates, times, and locations are listed on the events page and on the registration page for each event. Some events are free and use an RSVP form only. Others are ticketed, and a small number are payable at the door.

Registering does not guarantee admission if an event reaches the capacity of its venue. Where an event is expected to reach capacity, we say so on the event listing and ask that you register early.

If ROWT cancels an event outright and does not reschedule it, we refund tickets purchased for that event in full. If an event is rescheduled, your ticket carries to the new date, and you may request a refund instead by writing to us before the new date.

5. Contributions and Refunds

Contributions to a political committee are not tax deductible as charitable contributions. Contributions are generally final, because Illinois campaign finance law requires us to report them and because funds are committed to political activity promptly after they are received.

If something has gone wrong, write to us. We review refund requests individually and in good faith, and we will refund a payment made in error, a duplicate charge, or a charge you did not authorize. Contact info@rowtgop.org or (847) 632-1774 and we will respond. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank, as a dispute is slower for both of us than a refund we can issue directly.

6. Contribution Rules Under Illinois Law

By contributing you confirm that the contribution is made from your own funds, on your own credit or debit card, in your own name, and not reimbursed by anyone else. You confirm you are a United States citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident.

Illinois law requires political committees to record the name and address of anyone contributing more than $150 in a reporting period, and to record employer and occupation information at higher thresholds. Illinois also caps what an individual, corporation, union, or political action committee may contribute in an election cycle. We may decline or return a contribution that would exceed an applicable limit.

7. Payment Processing

Card payments on this site are processed by Stripe. ROWT never receives or stores your full card number. Charges from us appear on your statement as ROWTGOP.ORG. Stripe emails a receipt to the address you provide at the time of payment. If a receipt does not arrive, check the address you entered and then contact us and we will reissue it.

Your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy.

8. Email and Communications

Members, donors, and people who sign up for announcements receive email from ROWT about meetings, events, and township political activity. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect your membership or any payment.

9. Accuracy and Availability

We work to keep event details, dates, and candidate information current, and dates and venues do sometimes change. Check the event listing before travelling. The site is provided as it is, and we do not guarantee it will be available without interruption.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Illinois law, ROWT and its officers, precinct committeepersons, and volunteers are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising out of your use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, and any dispute is subject to the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
